Gnomes

Ever since human beings first set foot in the Faranga Islands many years ago, the native gnomes have been as infamous as they are famous. Gnomes are sentient – if not at all sensible – beings with a pronounced fondness for anything that doesn’t belong to them.

Just like magpies, they steal anything that isn’t nailed down. They have no use for most of the stuff which they pile to the ceilings in their dwellings, but since you never know if you might need it one day, they hoard everything they can get their hands on, and set out on new raids again and again. In order to be able to take as much as possible, a typical gnome has roughly a dozen smaller and larger bags and pouches girded about its person.
