Although they may appear rather harmless at first glance, wild boars are among the most dangerous animals in the islands. Many an inexperienced adventurer has fallen victim to their murderous tusks and violent fury, and the authorities urgently recommend keeping your distance from them.

The Wolves

 

Because many of the natural prey animals of the islands have fallen victim to the gluttonous creatures of the underworld, packs of hungry wolves roam the woods, searching for food.

Once at the top of the food chain, wolves are now so starved that they will attack anything and everything they encounter, even if it is a clearly superior opponent. The animals are mad with hunger and, because the bony beasts hunt in packs, no one and nothing is safe from them.

Many a victorious warrior who tried to plunder his opponent after a hard-fought battle has been driven off from his well-earned booty by wolves suddenly emerging from the underbrush. That may be aggravating, but being attacked and mauled by a huge, black wolf for a pair of worn leather boots is just not worth it…
