Down the back of my sofa! It's got my car keys!
Bring an axe... The mother-in-law guards the sofa!
We think the Mother-in-law is ‘code’ for the cat!
As a keen Risen player and supporter, I am guessing the gnomes have broken out to gather food and hunt!
I think they will be near trees/a forest, with a camp fire. They may have some meat and a tool bag on them, hopefully we can catch them by throwing them a wild boar…while they are attacking this nice meal, we will pounce and capture them! Probably located in the English hills, Yorkshire hills? Or maybe some of them have jumped on boats, and invaded Northern Ireland.

I just seen one of your gnomes sat at the top of the Big Wheel on the pier at Blackpool!
Whilst strolling through the hilly wilds surrounding my home town of Accrington (Lancashire, UK) the strangest site caught my eyes. Nestled amongst the rocks, flowers and shrubs lay what I believe to be one of the Gnomes. This gnome in particular seemed to have been elevated to Godhood amongst the local rabbits who hopped around the holy gnome.
On closer examination the Gnome was nowhere to be seen and the rabbits had all fled.
